Bourget's Biota does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or any other information about you or your animals. Ever.
All data you enter into Bourget's Biota — animal records, sightings, medical logs, and all other information — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage.
Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself using the built-in Export function. That exported file goes directly to wherever you save it. We never see it. We never receive it.
Bourget's Biota does not require an internet connection to function. The app works fully offline, always. Any internet permission present in the app is solely to load fonts from Google Fonts for display purposes. No user data is involved in this request.
Because we collect no data from anyone, there is no special risk to children using this app. No information from any user — child or adult — is ever collected or transmitted.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Given that we collect nothing, meaningful changes to this policy are unlikely.
